FAQ about the BMW X1
How much does a new BMW X1 cost?+
The German price list of the BMW X1 starts at 30 319 € excl. VAT; the final price depends on the engine and equipment. Both private individuals and companies can order it through Caradvance GmbH near Munich (Geretsried) — contact us for an exact quote.
Which engines is the BMW X1 available with?+
The BMW X1 is available with petrol and diesel engines, delivering 136–300 hp. Typical versions: X1 sDrive18i, X1 sDrive20i, X1 sDrive18d, X1 M35i xDrive. We'll help you choose the version that suits you best.
What VAT do I pay on a new car?+
Within the EU, a new car (up to 6 months from first registration or with no more than 6 000 km) is always taxed in the buyer's country – in Slovakia at 23 % VAT. Caradvance GmbH invoices you without German VAT and you pay the Slovak VAT in Slovakia: a private individual at their tax office within 7 days of purchase, a company in its VAT return. We will explain the procedure when you order. The advantage is the German price and choice, not a lower VAT.

Yes. With a new car, the manufacturer's warranty applies throughout the European Union — including Slovakia — and servicing can be carried out at any authorised dealer workshop in Slovakia.
How long does the import take?+
From stock, typically a few weeks; for a factory order, it depends on the configuration. We handle every step of sourcing, delivery, homologation and registration.
Can the BMW X1 be leased or rented?+
Yes — the BMW X1 can be purchased with leasing or financing, and it is also available on long-term rental for a single monthly fee, with servicing and tyres included.
